Virtual Educa programme is associated with the Latin American Summit whose objective is developing innovative projects in the fields of education, professional training and lifelong training. It is also a framework for the exchange of experiences and the development of projects related to the Information Society.

The International Association Virtual Educa (ASIVE) was created in response to the many suggestions asking for an international association that promotes innovation in education, considering training as the change agent to social progress and cooperation as the formula for development. The ASIVE constituent assembly was held during the International Meeting Barcelona 2004, its bylaws were approved and the Board of Directors was chosen.

EAE contributes to Virtual Educa programme with its wide experience in Latin America and it serves as benefactor.
