A new edition of the EAE/OBS Online Employment Forum 2014 begins very soon. In the Forum, current and former students of EAE have access to employment opportunities and professional work placements with the participating companies, which we will be announcing over the next few days.
In addition, the Forum will include various live chat sessions with Human Resources professionals and directors at the different collaborating companies. As a result, all interested participants will have the opportunity to speak directly to the professionals and get a better understanding of what they are looking for in an employee.
In the same spirit, today we are talking to Ariadna Casa and María Castelló, HR professionals at Nestlé España SA and they explain what profiles the company is looking for and which methods they use in the selection process.
WHAT DOES NESTLÉ ESPAÑA DO AS A COMPANY?
At Nestlé, we contribute to people’s nutrition, heath and wellbeing, giving them access to the highest quality products for any time of the day and all stages of their life. The businesses are managed in such a way as to create value for the company as well as for society.
ARE THEIR NORMALLY SELECTION PROCESSES ALWAYS UNDER WAY AT NESTLÉ ESPAÑA?

IN THE HR DEPARTMENT, WHAT ARE THE QUALITIES AND COMPETENCES THAT YOU VALUE MOST HIGHLY WHEN HIRING SOMEBODY?
If you have completed your studies (Degree/University qualification/Engineering) and are interested in embarking on your professional development with us, Nestlé offers you the opportunity to take on challenges to fulfil all of your potential.
We create a rewarding working environment that firmly emphasizes individual responsibility, opportunity and autonomy.
We promote the growth of our employees through continuous development, on-the-job training, mentoring programmes and access to our Training Centres (both in Spain, located in Esplugues de Llobregat, and abroad in Switzerland)
There are three factors that influence career development at Nestlé:
– Key factors. This refers to the characteristics required to take full advantage of the opportunities that we have to offer. These include sustained performance in terms of knowledge and skills related to your role and business, as well as leadership skills and experience.
– Accelerators. Decisive characteristics with respect to the speed of progression and level of development of each employee. These include the flexibility to move between departments and roles, the capacity to set up a network of contacts, being open to new experiences and mobility.
– Opportunities. Factors that depend on external circumstances and company activities. Opportunities may arise from new responsibilities, new roles and new international projects.
