EAE Business School is a sponsor of the Carrera de la Mujer (‘Women’s Race’) 2014, a series of eight athletics trials spread across Spain held throughout 2014. In this edition of the contest, the circuit will take place in the cities of Valencia, Madrid, Vitoria, Gijón, La Coruña, Seville, Barcelona and Zaragoza, which is the last race on this year’s calendar.

The "Carrera de la Mujer": contest is a charity initiative that strives to make a contribution to the battle against cancer, thanks to its collaboration with the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), an organization with which EAE also collaborates in numerous charity initiatives. EAE’s collaboration takes a range of forms: a donation of €100,000 to the AECC for the organization of the event, charity race bibs of which 100% of the price paid went towards the fight against cancer, and the sale of Carrera de la Mujer merchandise, with 10% of the funds raised being donated to the cause.

EAE Business School collaborates in the circuit by running a series of conferences entitled “How to achieve high performance profiles”, aimed at female entrepreneurs in each of the cities in which the trials are held. Any of the women who sign up for one of the races can attend these conferences, which will be completely free of charge. The conferences will be led by Lluís Soldevila, a teacher at EAE and an expert in entrepreneurial mindsets. The objective is to give participants access to EAE’s know-how related to issues of entrepreneurship and the development of high performance profiles, thereby helping any runners who are entrepreneurs or who are thinking of starting their own company. The series of conferences will provide an overview of the key guidelines for performing at one’s best in all areas in a balanced and efficient way.

“EAE Business School is proud to form part of events such as the Carrera de la Mujer, as it is in the School’s genetic make-up to collaborate in charity events and activities that contribute towards the development of society. In the case of the Carrera de la Mujer, we are particularly proud of the conferences on entrepreneurship and high performing professionals, which we hope will contribute towards enhancing the professional development of entrepreneurial women”, says Ileana Alberto, EAE Business School’s Director of Sponsorship.
