Last week, the Madrid and Barcelona were the venues for the second edition of Talent Week, organized by the Professional Careers Service. From Monday 6th to Thursday 9th March, the School welcomed a total of 76 companies, offering their programs and employment opportunities in various areas to the School's students.
The four-day event was designed to give students the chance to get to know leading companies, their values and philosophy and, most importantly, the employment opportunities that they offer. More than thirty companies put aside some time for their recruitment technicians and managers to interview as many as 923 students. Moreover, all of the companies were keen to receive the student's CVs after the conferences that they ran, collecting in a total of 3,298.
Organized and planned by EAE's Professional Careers Service, the aim of the initiative is to enhance networking opportunities with the participating companies, putting students who are finishing their Master with organizations that are looking to incorporate young talent on their teams. "Our objective is for 18% of the participants to have a real employment opportunity through this event", explained Carmen Martos, Director of the Professional Careers Service of EAE Business School.
Adecco, ALD Automotive, Altran Innovación, Atrápalo, Atresmedia, Banco Mediolanum, Bizneo, Brico Deport, Bricomart, Burson Marsteller, Caixabank, CBRE, Coty, Decathlon, Deloitte, ElTenedor, Enagas, Europe Language Jobs, Ernst&Young, Eurostars Madrid Tower, FUE, Global Talent, Grant Thornton, Grupo Planeta, Grupo Vips, GT Linkers, Hilton, Hotusa, Huawei, IBM, Inditex, Indra, Juguetronica, Leroy Merlin, Loop Unique Companies, L'Oreal, Lyra, Manpower, MCR International, Michael Page, Nationale Nederlanden, Nestlé, O&S Consultores, Oesia, Ogilvy, Pepe Jeans, Prosegur, Randstad, Recruiting Erasmus, Revibike, Schneider Electric, Selectra, Siemens, Simon, STEF, Talent Search, Tech Data, Tonibike, Whirlpool Corporation and Winche Redes Comerciales were the companies participating in this second edition of Talent Week. In Madrid, 40 companies took part, with leading companies such as Michael Page, Leroy Merlin, Talent Search, Stef Iberia, Madrid Tower Eurostars, Adecco and Nationale Nederlanden. Meanwhile, in Barcelona, 36 companies visited EAE's Campus, including Randstad, Decathlon, ElTenedor, Winche, CBRE, Nestlé and Grupo Planeta. As well as these conferences, many of the companies set time aside to meet the students individually, conducting short interviews and group dynamics.
Attendance at the sessions run by the organizations was extremely high, with a great response from the students interested. In total, counting all of the Company Meetings on both campuses, there were 2,707 students that attended, with the companies that attracted the largest crowds being Grupo Vips, EY and L'Oreal.
The company representatives all congratulated the School for the great initiative. For some of them, including Manpower, Deloitte, Burson Marsteller and Grupo Vips, this was the second year in a row at Talent Week, while, for others, such as Nationale Nederlander, Tonibike and Juguetronica this was their first experience of EAE Business School's event. "It enables us to let people know about our company and values", "it facilitates the incorporation of the best young talent in companies", and "it acts as a sort of trial run for students, who learn how to approach real selection processes" were some of the feedback comments received from the companies after their conferences.
