More than 70 companies reaffirm the success of Talent EAE Barcelona 2019

EAE Business School has held the fourth edition of Talent EAE in Barcelona, which has been a great success in terms of participation, More than 70 leading national and international companies and over 1,000 students took part in the event at the Hotel Catalonia Plaza in an intensive session with interviews, round tables, activities and group exercises focusing on employability.
Talent EAE brings together candidates and companies in an event in which networking plays a key part. This is the opinion of Beatriz Camps, a selection technician at Grupo Hotusa, who emphasized that Talent EAE is not only a meeting point for talent acquisition but also a showcase for employer branding. "With this new format, we enhance the value of the networking opportunities of the participants, both companies and candidates". With respect to EAE students, she highlighted their advanced level and the great interest they show.
Daniel Polvorinos, a selection technician at Seur, remarked on the talent he has seen in the interviews he has conducted, especially with respect to the positions the company is looking to cover in Supply Chain and Human Resources. "This event is an opportunity for young talent to make contact with companies. At EAE, there is a great deal of potential".
The team at Ernest & Young carried out interviews with highly motivated people. "We have seen a lot of interesting profiles, such as students taking Masters related to Big Data and investment banking", explained Patricia Manresa, an HR professional at the company. In her opinion, the forums are a good opportunity to make an initial contact with candidates. The soft skills they are looking for in candidates are proactiveness and the ability to work in a group.
Carla Carreras, From the Recruitment and HR Department of Mango, was really surprised by the huge volume of people who have taken part in Talent EAE 2019. The company currently has positions available in various departments and over 100 people on internships at the company. "We really value international profiles because Mango operates in lots of countries and we need to provide services to our subsidiaries. Therefore, we are looking for candidates with languages, who are open people with passion, drive and a positive attitude".
Also at the event, different profiles were considered by Catalonia Hoteles. "In our opinion, many of them would be a good fit. We are looking to cover various positions, both in the operational side of our hotels and other more corporate profiles in our head offices", explained, from the HR Department.
"I find the event really interesting. I didn't expect to find so many different profiles", explained Adolf, a family banking supervisor at Banco Mediolanum. At the event, they met profiles that are a good fit with the company and who want to build a long-term professional career at the company. "We are looking for good professionals with great people skills".
The team at Mattel also saw lots of candidates. "We have met a lot of profiles that we will keep a note of. At our company, we have already had EAE students on internships and we have been really pleased", remarked Gilsa Broc, from the HR Department. At Mattel, we take on motivated people with a desire to learn, who enjoy challenges that enable them to develop professionally.
At Ferrero Ibérica (Ferrero Rocher), the HR managers held interviews to meet potential candidates for the internship positions available, "especially for our Supply Chain and Marketing profiles". Mónica Chamart and Judith Gámez added that they particularly valued analytical, proactive people with a real desire to learn.
"We are offering both internship positions and permanent employment contracts and we have observed that, on the whole, EAE's profiles match what we are looking for, particularly in the areas of Marketing and Sales, Finance and Supply Chain", emphasized Adriana Bethancourt, the Global Talent Consultant at Bacardi. Although it is an international group, Bacardi is a family company, a value that Adriana highlighted, adding that they are looking for proactive and multifunctional young talent.
At Nortempo, they support initiatives like Talent EAE. "They give us the chance to discover profiles that are different from other kinds of companies, as well as networking", explained Mónica Zabalo, the Regional Director of the Nortempo Group. They are looking for candidates for both their central business structure, primarily in Human Resources, and profiles specializing in IT and Marketing, as well as executives for its client companies.
"In general, the students are really well prepared. They come here with their CVs and explain their challenges to us", explained Lorna Ribers, an HR professional at Lodgyfy. Lorna herself is a member of EAE's alumni, having taken the Master in Human Resources Management at the School. Thanks to EAE, she began working at the company on an internship and, she has been working there as a full-time employee for the last year. The team at Mars España have also seen some excellent, high-quality profiles. "I have been really surprised by the variety of profiles taking part and their international character, which is something we need at Mars. These forums are really important for raising the company's profile and discovering talent", explained Sofía Closas, a Business Partner at Mars España, in reference to Talent EAE.
A great experience and opportunity for students
EAE students rate Talent EAE very highly because they can find employment opportunities through direct contact with companies. "Perhaps first I will do an internship and then I hope to start working. I have had interviews with some auditing firms, such as EY and Deloitte, and they have gone well", explained Cintia Barrenetxea, a Peruvian student on the MBA. Meanwhile, Sizen, a Bulgarian student on the Master in Project Management, got lots of information about a number of companies. Thanks to Talent EAE, she has seen that they like her, and she can choose between them.
Pedro Guevara, a former student who took the Master in Marketing and Sales Managementin 2014 and the Master in Online Marketing and Digital Commerce in 2015, described the event as interactive. "I have taken part in round tables and spoken directly to the HR Directors of companies to find out what they are looking for and hear about their career plans", he explained. Meanwhile, Ana Carolina Restropo, a Colombian student on the Master in Human Resources Management, has also had interviews with a number of companies, including Bacardi, Mattel and Ferrero. "I have found out what opportunities are on offer and I have made some contacts to pave the way for even more possibilities". The student is interested in working in a Human Resources department as she is a specialist in compensation and metrics.
Cecilia Terranova, an Italian student on the Master in International Business, had around 20 interviews over the course of the event, which all went very well. "This event gives you the opportunity to make an initial contact so that you can have a more in-depth interview later on". Andrea, a Peruvian student on the Master in Corporate Communication Management had just done an interview Mango. "They asked me what I am looking for and I gave them my CV. I have always been interested in the retail sector retail and I think there are some great opportunities for me".
