The Company Meeting consisted of a company presentation followed by a group exercise for the participants in the Event Hall at the JoaquĆn Costa Campus. Laura Torres, the company's Talent Acquisition, Ana Carolina Rodrigues, the Recruitment Manager at the company, and JosĆ© Luis Upegui, a former EAE student and Commercial Director for LATAM at Zankyou Weddings, took part in this event designed to enhance the Business School's students' visibility.Ā
Laura Torres gave the students and overview of the history and evolution of this company specializing in wedding organization. The founders of Zankyou identified a business opportunity in a niche market and set up the company with the aim of "creating 'The Wedding Portal' for the nomad generation of the 21st Century". Ana Carolina focused on Zankyou's two business lines: B2C, with editorial content for brides and grooms and a product catalogue; and B2B, focusing on the true client, companies interested in advertising on the platform. "We put brides and grooms in contact with suppliers, who benefit from great advantages from being on the website and the high level of traffic", she explained.
Ana Carolina Rodrigues went on to state that Zankyou considers EAE a strategic partner in view of the diversity of nationalities among the students, as well as the high degree of participation. "They are people with experience and, as far as we are concerned, having them on board to help us in our day-to-day operations is really important". EAE is one of the main channels used by Zankyou to contract interns. "It is clear to us that these people have the potential to build a career in the company and grow us", emphasized Ana.
JosƩ Luis Upegui, who took the Master in Marketing and Commercial Management at EAE, went on to share his experience at Zankyou, where he began working as a sale representative in Colombia and has gone on to become the Commercial Director for LATAM. In the EAE graduate's opinion, the Master consolidates certain areas of knowledge and opens up new areas, but it is when you get to work that you really start to apply what you have learned. "Implementing and identifying a conversion funnel or the leads generation process, seeing in applied in the real world and understand the practical result is really interesting", explained JosƩ Luis,
10 years' evolution of a successful business model

They post videos aimed at suppliers and consumers on its YouTube channel. In short, it combines a totally digital mechanism with a very international business culture. Around 200 professionals form part of this organization with the spirit of a start-up, which promotes autonomy, professional development and flexibility, with a commitment to its employees' personal and professional life balance.
