When we think about entrepreneurship, it’s inevitable to think about risk, adrenaline, unknown obstacles or uncertainty. We often make it out to be as if only a very specific kind of people could do it — people with unique qualities that combine supernatural skills like creativity, disruption, innovation and business skills, people that go through one of those Newton-being-struck-by-the-apple moment; that long awaited “Eureka!”.
But nothing could be further from the truth! The entrepreneur’s journey requires people willing to carry out incremental thinking processes as well as processes of analysis and collective development. The latter must be sought after even when you’re developing an idea by yourself since, as the project moves forwards, you’ll need the opinion of other sector experts and possible clients. By collecting and validating these insights, the uncertainty and the risk that are related to the launching of a business will be lower.
First, we issued a call requesting students to define the business ecosystem where their project will develop. In order to do this, it was necessary to get to know these students very well. That’s why we asked them to tell us about their interests, their teams —a key factor in order to unite synergies— and what drives them to work in the chosen ecosystem. We closed the call with more than 70 projects, from which we selected 8 for the spanish programme and 8 for the english one.EAE Entrepreneur plans a programme that consists of 7 weekly sessions in which we will guide the teams in the application of the methodology created by Jake Knapp for Google Ventures. Also, students get access to guidance tutoring in order to develop their project idea correctly.
