Find out all the details of the European Commission’s internship program presented at the Company Meeting held in Madrid on 14th January
At EAE Business School, we like to start the year with enthusiasm and energy. With this in mind, right from the very beginning of January, we have been organizing employability events that help our students take the next step in their professional careers. The latest case is the Company Meeting: European Commission, an event held on 14th January at the School’s Joaquín Costa Campus in Madrid, which gave students the chance to hear a spokesperson from European Commission explaining all the professional opportunities available to them in 2020.
The event was organized by the Madrid Professional Careers Service and welcomed dozens of students from various programs, who came to listen to the spokesman of the European Commission in Spain, Loannis Virvilis. Over the course of an hour, the students gained a first-hand insight into the Commission’s internship program, the profiles in the highest demand and the European Commission’s new volunteering program: EU Solidarity Corps.
“The thing that attracts me most is the chance to serve communities”, explained one student. “And also the opportunity to travel to more places”, added another. The silence that dominated the room at the start soon turned into great enthusiasm with the information shared by Virvilis: “There are two internship periods: from October to February and from March to July. In each period, we take on around 850 people!”
With respect to the admission and application program, Virvilis certainly didn’t hold back on the details. Let’s find out what he had to say!
