The new academic year at EAE Business School has got under way in November with over 3,000 new students starting in-person classes at the Barcelona and Madrid campuses. The School has implemented all the protocols required to guarantee a 100% safe in-person experience.
Over the course of the 2020-2021 academic year, the students studying at School will be 56% women and 44% men, from over 93 countries. Of the newly enrolled students, 56.3% come from Europe, predominantly the Netherlands, Italy, France, Germany and Portugal, 30% from Latin America, 5.5% from North America, 5% from Africa and 3% from Asia.
Among the new academic developments at the School this year, EAE has rolled out the new Hybrid ConnectEd format, which combines an online period, offering the flexibility given by digital technologies, with the rigorous intellectual development of in-person classes. Moreover, Hybrid ConnectEd condenses the in-person classes in less time and enables students, if necessary, to follow the classes from their home or place of work throughout the year.
The programs available in this new format are the Masters in Big Data ConnectEd, Digital Marketing ConnectEd, International Strategic Marketing ConnectEd, Project Management ConnectEd and Supply Chain Management & Logistics ConnectEd.
In addition, EAE has reinforced the usual technology and applications used in classes, enabling the students to follow them online if necessary, ensuring the best possible virtual experience for the participants. The School has enhanced the whole system with wide-angle cameras connected to a large screen to stream the sessions with the maximum quality.
For several years now, EAE Business School has been running blended and distance learning programs. Our hybrid methodology, which has been developed over many years on our Global Hybrid programs, received a Reimagine Award from Wharton College in 2015. The methodology combines in-person stages with training periods fully online.
LAUNCH OF NEW PROGRAMS IN ENGLISH
This academic year, EAE Business School is expanding its portfolio with the launch of two new masters in English:
These Masters cover the areas of knowledge of the MBA; Marketing, Communication and Sales; Human Resources, Leadership and Talent; Finance and Economics; and Logistics, Operations and Data.
MEASURES FOR A SAFE EDUCATION
A key feature of the start of this academic year is the implementation of different hygiene and safety measures and systems in response to the current Covid-19 situation. EAE is comprehensively signposted to show students how to use the different parts of the School safely. In classrooms, libraries, dining rooms and other social areas, there are posters with recommendations and tips to ensure health and hygiene. The campuses are equipped with gel, spray and different products that guarantee hygiene everywhere at all times. Throughout the School, technology and apps will continue to be key tools that enable us to continue educating optimally and safely.
To guarantee the safest possible experience on the campus, EAE has organized an staggered entrance and exit system at the campuses to spread out the flow of activity with respect to the different student services and the communal areas, thereby improving our students’ experience at the School.
FLEXIBILITY AND ACCOMPANIMENT
Moreover, for students who have not been able to begin in-person classes on the scheduled date, EAE has put an Individualized Induction Plan in place, with personal accompaniment measures to ensure the optimal incorporation of the student. The Individualized Induction Plan aims to facilitate the integration of students who, for whatever reason, join the program after the official start date, thereby ensuring that all their educational needs are covered.
