Vickers explained that the Covid-19 pandemic has had an undeniable impact on the economy and specifically on areas such as marketing and commercial management. However, a significant degree of reactivation has recently been seen in this respect in both small and medium companies and multinationals.
Sales and marketing is a department that was very affected, explained the recruiter. Initially, it suffered big losses but, as restrictions have been relaxed and the economy has got back on track, we are starting to see a fairly positive trend that encourages us to look for opportunities.
Strongest growing positions
In terms of the positions with the strongest growth in the areas of marketing and commercial management, Vickers highlighted certain positions in the creative area, such as Contributing Writer, Copywriter and Production Director, as well as positions related to other more executive or specialist areas, including Chief Marketing Officer, User Experience Designer and User Interface Designer.
With respect to sales, the recruiter highlighted the positions of Sales Engineer, Commercial Manager and Key Account Manager.
“In Barcelona, there is a notable technological trend and the startup ecosystem is very strong”, added Vickers. “So, despite the situation, there is a positive attitude and sense of growth”.
