Maribel Osuna, the Talent Acquisition Manager at Enterprise Holdings, took part in the presentation of Building Leaders held at EAE's Madrid Campus. Organized by the School's Professional Careers Department, the event incentivizes joining the Graduate Program of this multinational company in the automobile sector.
To take part in Building Leaders, the students of EAE Business School need to meet the following requirements: minimum B2 level (high intermediate) of English and Spanish, an excellent academic record and proven international experience, whether it is academic, professional or on a volunteering basis. Extra credit is given for competence in a third language (minimum B1 intermediate) and, of course, a great deal of passion for tackling this new challenge!
Enterprise Rent a Car works with Building Leaders as a key talent acquisition strategy. Maribel Osuna gave us an overview of the details of the company's participation in the program and the conference held with the students at EAE's Madrid Campus.
Why should Building Leaders form a key part of a company's talent acquisition strategy?
As soon as I had a meeting with Federica Assandria and she presented the Building Leaders project to me, I thought it was an essential and innovative program for detecting high-potential candidates to participate in trainee programs like ours. The idea of working with candidates who have already been validated and who have an excellent profile is a great help for companies.
What kind of profiles are you most interested in at Enterprise?
At Enterprise, we don't look for candidates with a specific university qualification, but rather people with a set of competences in terms of sales, customer service, flexibility, good communication and leadership, among others.
What opinion does the company have of EAE students?
As Enterprise is an American multinational, EAE students are very attractive for a company like ours, because the large majority of profiles are international, very well prepared academically and with great potential for development. In the presentations we have given, we have noticed a great deal of interest from the attendees and that is something we really value: passion, commitment and ambition to develop personally and professionally within the company.
The program enables people to join the company on an employment basis or on an internship program. What are the timescales and phases of the process?
There are three versions of our Management Trainee Program:
The selection process consists of a number of interviews: the first with human resources and the second in person at one of our offices, with a visit followed by an interview with an Area Manager. The third and final interview at an Assessment Center.
Once the student joins Enterprise, what can they expect to find at your company?
They find a company in which, as its mission, the employees are the most important thing, alongside the customers. A company based on a set of values including honesty, the value of its brands, hard work being rewarded, a fantastic working atmosphere and, most importantly, that offers real opportunities for development.
Why choose Enterprise to work for?
To summarize, because of all the points that I mentioned already, because it is the number one in the vehicle rental sector, because it is expanding in our country, because of its values and, most importantly, because it is committed to its employees and their professional development and promotion.
