Tuesday 2nd June 2020 – The on-demand wellbeing startup Fixme has received over 145,000 euros (160,000 USD) to finance the business, from one of the most important venture capital firms in Spain and the Americas, The Venture City, and a small Mexican firm. Fixme is one of the startups that took part in the 2nd Edition of EAE Investor, which focused on projects led by women, held in November.
Searching for funding for their business, one of the project’s founders, María Luke, took part in the second edition of EAE Investor, focusing on projects led by women, within the framework of International Women’s Entrepreneurship Day. “After many months of negotiations, we have managed to close the first round of investment, having raised 160,000 USD right in the midst of the Covid 19 crisis, which gives us financing capacity for 12 months. However, our goal is to raise at least a further 75,000 USD to be able to cover 18 months’ operation and, in the meantime, prepare a large round of investment to boost our growth in Spain and Latin America”, explained Luke.
Fixme is a startup founded two years ago by María Luke and Xandra Etxabe which offers wellbeing services on demand, primarily physiotherapy, personal training and massages, connecting Fixme professionals with customers online and at home via their website and soon using their app.
The Director of Investments at EAE Investor, Carmen Pumariño, underlines the importance of closing this round of capital injection as it will give Fixme a significant boost in terms of its global growth, as well as reaffirming the quality of the project submitted to the 2nd Edition de EAE Investor. This edition was held International Women’s Entrepreneurship Day, 19th November, with EAE Investor welcoming 4 projects led by entrepreneurial women on the day. We are very proud to say that the edition focused 100% on professional and entrepreneurial women. We are certain that there is a great deal of female talent and lots of really great projects led by women. With this in mind, we held this second edition of the event on this date with tis focus.
