The students embarking on EAE's Full Time programs had the chance to get to know both their Master programs and their new classmates in the Welcome Week held at the School. The majority of them come from other countries and are hoping to have new experiences, both on the Campus and generally in Barcelona.
Welcome Week got under way with the presentation of the directors of the Master Programs, followed by an explanation of the virtual campus and other activities by the Coordination Team, as well as a Legal Workshop and a Teambuilding session.
Estefani Díez is from Peru and is taking the MBA. For her, staying in Barcelona is a really different experience. "I have found all the classmates, the program and the presentations great. I want to work my way up in a company and so I decided to take an MBA. In my opinion, you need one for all professional positions nowadays". The multicultural nature of EAE is another highly rated feature. Italian student Mauro Puccini, who is taking the Master in Project Management, considers EAE to be "one of the best Schools around nowadays". He highlighted the program and the great teachers. He wants to develop his career as an engineer in a company, but he hopes to acquire more skills.
His Mexican classmate on the same Master program, Andrea Suárez, has come here to study because she wants to diversify and help run the family business. EAE fitted the profile she was looking for. "Although I have only been here a week, I have seen some of Barcelona and I love it", she added.
EAE has received many accolades and ranks high on national and international league tables. This was one of the reasons that Colombian student Sandra Calderón chose EAE to take her Master in Marketing Management. Although she is an engineer, she is very interested in this field and hopes to be able to work in Barcelona and gain experience. Meanwhile, Polish student Ágata is extremely happy to be able to take the Master in Marketing and Sales in Barcelona, because she loves the city and, from what she has been able to see so far, she is very impressed by the School as well.
The Director of the Master in Online Marketing and Electronic Commerce, Guillem Crosas, is embarking on the new academic year with the ambition of taking full advantage of the times that digital marketing professionals are experiencing and "convey to the new students that they play an essential role in the modern world, which is set to grow even more in importance in the near future". Meanwhile, Laureano Berasategui, the director of the Master in Human Resources, explained that it is an innovative Master in terms of being the first edition in English, as well as for the material, lecturers and contents. There is a great deal of diversity among the students in terms of nationality. There are 18 countries represented, while the average age is an extremely encouraging 26 years old. "He is approaching the new academic year with the aim of breaking molds and rules that have become obsolete", he explained. Laureano found the students to be enthusiastic and keen to do things well. "It depends on us. An EAE Master has to be demanding".
The session on Friday morning was particularly special because it also involved a teambuilding exercise in which the Full Time students took part in dynamic role-playing games. "I found it useful for creating a good vibe both in and outside the School", explained Mauro, a student on the Master in Project Management. Most of the students enjoyed themselves and think that it is a great idea to do teambuilding exercises to get to know each other, especially as they come from different countries and cultures.
