The startup DeepEcho has been named the winner of the 6th edition of the Tech & Planet Awards 2026, organized by EAE Business School, within the framework of 4YFN (Four Years From Now)—the flagship event for the entrepreneurial ecosystem held during Mobile World Congress Barcelona.
Originally from Morocco, the startup specializes in artificial intelligence and deep learning applied to improving prenatal diagnosis through ultrasound. It has been recognized for its innovative proposal, which generates a positive impact both technologically and economically.
“This recognition means a great deal to us: it validates the effort, purpose, and passion we put into generating a positive impact. It encourages us to continue innovating and also gives the project greater visibility,” explained Youssef Bouyakhf, co-founder of DeepEcho
The competition brought together projects from three continents and several countries, including Morocco, the United States, Switzerland, and Pakistan. The jury consisted of prominent professionals from the international entrepreneurial ecosystem, including José Antonio Latasa, President of the Entrepreneurship Forum for Spain; Quino Fernández, CEO and co-founder of Aticco Lab; and Javier Barros de Lis, Investment Analyst at Zubi Capital.
The Tech & Planet Awards aim to identify and showcase early-stage startups developing technological solutions with real and measurable social impact. This sixth edition brought together technology-based projects committed to sustainability and innovation
After the evaluation process, six startups were selected as finalists: Tethys Robotics, DeepEcho, BTRY, Biyiud, Toum AI, and Connecthear. The projects were assessed based on criteria such as level of innovation, socio-economic and environmental impact, scalability, growth potential, and financial return.
The final took place on March 3 at the Founder’s Stage (Hall 8.0) at 4YFN Barcelona, where the finalists presented their projects before an audience of national and international investors, corporate executives, and representatives of the global technology ecosystem. Following the presentations, the jury selected DeepEcho as the winning startup of this edition.
