EAE Business School has announced the 4th Dean's List, the ranking that selects the 20 EAEstudents with the best academic reports, always with an average weighted score above 8.5. The aim of this initiative is to incentivize the student's efforts and studies, as well as rewarding their consistent hard work.
There are some interesting new features of the Dean's List 2018 compared to previous years. Mariona Vilà, the Head of Academic Excellence Programs at EAE, announced the following figures: "This year, the best student is taking the Full-Time Master in Project Management, which is a more junior profile than other senior students who have topped the Dean's List in previous editions". "Before now, the winner of the Dean's List has always been a student on the Global Executive MBA", explained Vilá, which is somewhat surprising because "they combine work with their studies so presumably they have less time to spend on learning".
Members of the Dean's List enjoy a range of benefits, as they receive recognition from the School and membership of the Alumni Association, as well as taking part in various institutional events organized by EAE. "They are a role model for their classmates and eminent ambassador for the School", explained Mariona.
One of the immediate challenges for the Dean's List is for the ranking to become a goal in the students' minds, driving them to work to improve, achieve better grades and reach their highest goals. The recognition of the other students is essential in Mariona Vilà's opinion, emphasizing the great response of the winners when they are told they have made it on to the Dean's List.
Dennis Eberhardt heads the Dean's List 2018
Dennis Eberhardt, a Full-Time student on the Master in Project Management, tops the Dean's List 2018. With a proud smile, he expressed his surprise and happiness. Although the German student was aware of the Dean's List, he did not expect to get on to it. Surrounded by friends and family, he sees this accolade as a chance to access new professional opportunities. With respect to his learning experience at EAE Business School, Dennis explained that he settled in well straightaway, both in relation to the lecturers and classmates, as well as with other Departments at the School. "Studying at EAE has enabled me to make contact with international professionals from different cultures and it has really opened my mind", explained Dennis.
A consultant at Rivergo Advisors, Dennis was looking for specific and high-quality training on project management because he wants to specialize in the field professionally. After analysing the educational options available in various countries, this bright student decided to take the Master in Project Management at EAE's Madrid Campus.
Enjoying life in Spain thanks to the climate and the openness of the locals, Dennis Eberhardt has been so surprised by the national culture that he is considering staying longer in our country after completing the Master. "I would like to develop my career in the telecommunications sector", clarified Dennis when discussing short- and long-term projects. After receiving the recognition of the Dean's List, the winner headed back to Germany for a few days to share the news of the accolade with his family and friends. Looking to the future, he wouldn't rule out doing a PhD.
