EAE Business School held the EAE Impact Awards 2022 within the framework of 4 Years From Now (4YFN), the event dedicated to startups and entrepreneurship run alongside the Mobile World Congress (MWC).
These awards are given in recognition for the most innovative and disruptive projects headed by entrepreneurs who are developing business models aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This edition of the awards welcomed the participation of 58 projects from different sectors, including health and EdTech (Educational Technology), tourism, energy, industry 4.0, audiovisual and video games, telecommunications and PropTech (Property Technology), from 11 countries (Spain, Pakistan, Israel, Brazil, Colombia, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Sri Lanka, the United States and Switzerland).
The startup OtailO and its B2B SaaS platform was named as the winner of this edition of the EAE Impact Awards, as picked by the jury made up of Carmen Pumariño, the Director of Zubi Capital and Director of EAE Investor; Liat Mazor, the Founding Partner at Tonbo Impact; María Mora, the Director of Foment del Treball; Mónica Vasquez, the Head of Business Development at Social Nest; and Tom Horsey, the Managing Partner at Eoniq Fund and Business Angel.
As well as gaining access to a group of experts and mentors to enable them to develop and scale up their idea with EAE Investor and the impact consultancy Hands-on Impact, the OtailO team also won a grant to take EAE’s Global Executive MBA (Barcelona-California-Singapur).
“This award is an excellent opportunity to show the world what we are doing and demonstrate that our projects are having a positive impact on society. Thanks to initiatives like the one run by EAE Business School, we can increase our knowledge and learn from other innovative projects being developed around the world”, said Ronit Mayer, the Co-Founder of OtailO.
As well as organizing and presenting the EAE Impact Awards, EAE was also a hotspot in the 4YFN exhibition zone, thanks to the activities organized at its stand, which brought together experts in the digital economy, innovation and business ecosystem in a diverse series of conferences and talks.
The activities at EAE’s stand fell into five main categories: Keynote Speech, Talk & Share, which consisted of sessions with two entrepreneurs explaining their projects and areas of expertise; Entrepreneurs in the Spotlight, in which former students told their stories of entrepreneurship; Master Talk & Learn, a series of practical learning pills on topics of interest, such as tips for winning over Business Angels, etc.; Entrepreneurship LIVE, a session streamed in real time with topical content for entrepreneurs and startups; and Building Ideas 2gether, a practical workshop in which participants created an entrepreneurial project on-site.
